The Language of Universe: MATHS

Information is the only thing man is constantly trying to gain maximum access to. No! We are not talking about the textbooks but the bits and pieces of information we collect right from our birth. Imagine the day when you tried out something different, unusual. Now that experience is considered as totally different from knowledge which we previously had about the surrounding. It may even change certain predictions we make about the world (a simple example is first encounter to fire!) In order to share this kind of newly acquired knowledge we need a medium, a language to tell others what we experienced. So in a very similar way in order to understand our universe we need to understand its language! The language used by science, one spoken by universe can be understood if we are silent enough to calculate...
Able to do math is like learning to ride the bicycle. In fact it’s nothing different than learning to ride bicycle! We can’t be good at math until and unless you try to try it. The secret to get better at math is removing the fear of subject from our mind.
  •  Understand the topic.
  • Practice some problems.
  • Try to figure out how to apply math in daily life problems.
  •  Discuss with friends and teachers.
  • Try to teach what you have known!

This will go a long way as far as our basics are concerned. But the real beauty of the subject lies in their unsolved mysteries. When we try to solve the unsolved proofs the real journey begins. Mathematics can be considered as a superpower! It have various abilities, one of it is making precise predictions! These aren’t made by looking at palm of our hand or gazing in crystal ball. They are made by analyzing data. This is one of the reasons we can explore the verge of space and time!
math has different branches like,
  • Arithmetic – study of numbers and number system.
  • Algebra – the rules of manipulating symbols.
  • Geometry – relates shape, size and position in space.
  • Topology- study of deformed and stretched objects.
  • Trigonometry – relationship between sides and angle of a triangle.
  • Infinitesimal Calculus - the study of continuous change.
  • Applied mathematics- one which helps understand real life phenomenon.

No matter how different these seem at first. All of these subjects are just trying to arrive at the patterns and symmetries. Many times we are ignorant enough to see and arrive at these beautiful patterns. No matter how ignorant we are towards them, always there are some HIDDEN FIGURES left behind! And all we need is to just count them.
Try finding out about some unsolved mysteries in math and do share your experience.
